Hero story
Fahd's armor glinted coldly in the wind as his eagle circled overhead, heralding the battle to come.
As the weather grew harsher, visibility dropped to less than twenty meters. The sharp cry of the eagle set everyone on edge.
"Fortunately, Fahd warned us beforehand," a frontline soldier muttered under his breath. "Otherwise, the enemy's sneak attack might have worked."
Fahd kept his eyes fixed ahead and pressed his body low against his horse's back, unfazed by the biting wind and swirling sand. The black-clad c Avalry beside him mirrored his stance. As silence settled over the ranks, they prepared to launch their counterattack on the Ambushers.
As the roar of battle waned and the Sandstorm subsided, the long-awaited sunlight finally filtered through the clouds. In the city, the ringing of bells and the cry of the eagle mingled with cheers of victory.
The city mayor offered his riches as a gesture of gratitude, but Fahd firmly grasped his wrist and declined. "This is written in my fate, my friend. We didn't fight for wealth or fame."
Bathed in the morning light amidst the crowd, Fahd wiped the dirt off his face. At that moment, the brave figure of this outlander was firmly etched into everyone's heart.
Fahd may be merciless on the battlefield, but he is adored by the children in the city. Even Forrest the lumberjack counts himself as one of Fahd's biggest admirers, mostly thanks to his vivid storytelling.
Some kids say Fahd has a magic box that could keep him telling stories for a thousand nights without running dry, but Fahd explains they are merely bedtime stories his mother told him when he was a child.
His captivating stories are bound to take on a life of their own, traveling from crackling bonfires to children's eager ears. They will continue to wander far as those children grow up.
Fahd's eagle plays a pivotal role in his military campaigns. Whenever a battle intensifies, it soars across the sky like a streak of lightning, offering his owner much-needed aid.
Fahd's rapport with his eagle often gives him a strategic edge during battle. For example, three circles in the sky mean the eagle has spotted supplies; a sharp, urgent whistle calls it to patrol nearby; and a steep dive signals the enemy's location.
What about the attack signal, which is the most important of all? That is a secret Fahd will never share with anyone.
